MedBridge Healthcare is seeking experienced Computer Support Specialist to work at our Fargo, ND location. The Network Administrator' plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of an organization's computer networks. The Network Administrator ensures these processes and assigned duties are followed by all of the department according to MedBridge policies & procedures in accordance with states and federal regulations.

MedBridge is a leading provider of sleep laboratory management services and sleep therapy.

MedBridge partners with hospitals and physician practices to offer comprehensive fully-integrated services for patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment and long-term care management of patients with sleep disorders.

Primary Duties

  • Ensuring the smooth operation of computer networks within an organization. This involves monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to optimize network efficiency.

  • Implementing and maintaining network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats. This includes setting up firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and implementing security policies.

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware such as routers, switches, and servers. This also involves managing network protocols and addressing schemes to ensure proper communication between devices.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of all systems.

  • Providing technical support to end-users for network-related issues. This may involve assisting with network connectivity problems, configuring network settings on devices, and troubleshooting network-related software.

  • Implementing backup solutions to ensure data integrity and developing disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in the event of network failures or data loss.

  • Maintaining accurate records of network configurations, upgrades, and maintenance activities. Network administrators often create reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Assessing current network infrastructure and forecasting future requirements based on business needs. This involves determining bandwidth requirements, upgrading hardware, and expanding network capacity as necessary.

  • Ensuring that network software, including operating systems and applications, are up-to-date with the latest security patches and updates to prevent vulnerabilities and improve performance.

  • Keeping up-to-date with advancements in networking technology and best practices, and providing training to staff on network usage, security protocols, and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Interacting with vendors to procure network equipment and services, negotiate contracts, and coordinate support and maintenance activities.

  • Able to travel throughout the company service area on little or no notice. Some travels may require one or many overnights away from the central office. Average travel per month = 1-3 days

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in computer science, or related field (B.S. preferred).

  • 3 or more years experience as a network administrator or similar capacity

  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills

  • Must be comfortable working in a hybrid office environment

  • Experience in customer service and support for 100+ users, plus 2 satellite offices.

  • Ability to utilize diagnostic tools, service aids, and other product information to resolve equipment failures.

  • Knowledge of Azure Active Directory and Office 365

  • Experience configuring and maintaining Cisco and HP network hardware including switches and firewalls

  • Experience with running CAT 5/6 and fiber cabling and installing new network drops when needed

  • Operational knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and application virtualization; Network and routing protocols; Windows Server and Azure Active Directory; Switch configuration and programming.

  • Intermediate PowerShell experience.

  • Ability to independently install software and hardware on networking equipment and microcomputers.

  • Familiarity with a variety of networking and personal computer software.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on servers, computers, and peripheral equipment.

  • Ability to communicate information to end users, colleagues, and senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.

  • Ability and desire to work as a member of a team and as a team of one.

  • Basic knowledge of Linux systems and various open-source solutions

  • Experience with Cisco VoIP phone systems

  • Experience handling network security issues (viruses, malware, social engineering)

  • WordPress and basic web design skills (JavaScript, CSS, HTML)
