Excel is seeking a skilled Network Administrator with a strong background in network security to join our Managed Service program team. This onsite role will support break/fix issues, ensuring prompt response and effective resolution to keep the client’s network running securely and efficiently. If you’re detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in an environment where security and connectivity are top priorities, this role is a great fit for you Key Responsibilities:
Network Management: Maintain and monitor the client’s network infrastructure, ensuring uptime, reliability, and optimal performance across all network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Security Administration:
Implement and maintain network security protocols, firewall configurations, and VPN connections to safeguard client data and resources. Troubleshooting & Break/Fix Support: Address and resolve break/fix issues promptly, supporting end-users with network access, security configurations, and connectivity problems.
Proactive Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools to identify potential risks or inefficiencies, addressing issues before they impact client operations. Incident Response:
Respond to security incidents, performing root-cause analysis and documentation for continuous improvement. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, security policies, and maintenance activities.
Provide regular reports to client and management as needed. Client Relations: Act as an onsite liaison for Excel’s Managed Services team, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of any network issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on security. Certifications: Preferred certifications include CompTIA Security, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, or similar security and networking credentials.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, etc.), firewall management, VPN setup, and familiarity with security protocols (SSL/TLS, IPSec, etc.). Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to prevent downtime and security threats.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively support and train end-users and collaborate with the managed services team. Availability: Ability to work onsite at the client location and provide occasional after-hours support if required.
