DieselUSA Group, a Jasper Holdings company, is seeking a Network Administrator to work alongside the Director of IT to support and monitor the organizations IT network as well as perform needed upgrades and maintenance. This includes supporting all network hardware, monitoring platforms and connectivity.

As a Network Administrator, you will maintain infrastructure for both on premises and in the cloud. You will participate in technical research and development for the implementation of new technologies. You will also ensure that all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards. You will also troubleshoot server and network related problems and quickly resolve issues.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills. You should possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This position is a full or part time position with flexible hours. We encourage students to apply for part time work while in school with the possibility of full time employment upon graduation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field of study or equivalent relevant years of IT experience

  • Strong network design and troubleshooting skills covering a wide variety of networking equipment

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

  • Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written

We can't do it without you.</p><p>The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for the implementation and support of a wide variety of security tools and applications that support the Information Security programs at over 1,000 banks and credit unions across the United States. You will assist in configuring, implementing, and managing a variety of security controls to better protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer information technology assets while interacting/collaborating with a team of dozens of support engineers. Security technologies used for this position include but not limited to Event Manager (SIEM), Firewalls, network &amp; host based IPS, and other security related applications/appliances. This position will incorporate direct contact with external clients through phone and email.</p><p>This position will be full-time hours (40 hours per week). This opening can be worked remotely or out of any of the Jack Henry office locations. The opportunity pays $22.00/hour and has a start date of June 5, 2023. The program will conclude on August 11, 2023.</p><p>What you'll be responsible for:</p><ul><li><p>Responds to alerts and security-related issues in real-time.</p></li><li><p>Performs systems monitoring, log reviews, and analysis to identify threats.</p></li><li><p>Delivers basic troubleshooting and customer support regarding security related issues.</p></li><li><p>Provides support for security-related projects as assigned.</p></li></ul><p>What you'll need to have:</p><ul><li><p>Currently enrolled at an accredited university.</p></li><li><p>Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Security, or Software Engineering.</p></li><li><p>An identified graduation date of December 2023 or May 2024.</p></li><li><p>Be able to work 40 hours per week throughout the ten-week program with minimum absences throughout the ten-week program.</p></li><li><p>Meet legal requirements to work in the U.S. for an indefinite period without any sponsorship.</p></li></ul><p>What would be nice for you to have:</p><ul><li><p>Experience in troubleshooting technical issues in any of the following areas: Helpdesk, desktop, and/or network support).</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of any of the following firewall platforms: Cisco ASA, Fortinet, or SonicWALL.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with banking and credit union environments.</p></li><li><p>Customer service background, especially through phone and email communications.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work both autonomously and as a part of a team.</p></li></ul><p>If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this opportunity.
