What You Need for this Position

  • 5+ years of Network / IT Administration

  • Bachelors degree in CS, Engineering, Math - ideal

  • Networking expertise required

  • Expertise with Cisco a big plus

  • Recent/current experience with Linux

  • Recent/current experience with routers, firewalls, servers, hard drives, CPUs

  • You want to help a company grow to the next level

Nice to have skills:

ESSENTIAL RESULTS & COMPETENCIES: 1. ASSESSES THE LEARNING NEEDS OF CLINICAL ASSOCIATES By conducting annual learning needs assessment. By assessing clinical learning skills and analyzing and incorporating data into educational programming. By obtaining feedback from participants in educational programs on content, teaching techniques, and instructional materials. 2. DEVELOPS AND IMPLEMENTS AN ORIENTATION PLAN TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CLINICAL ASSOCIATES By providing on-the-job supervised educational experiences and classroom instruction appropriate to the assessed competency level of the new associate. By developing and coordinating educational plans related to initial and ongoing competency validation. 3. DESIGNS EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES TO FACILITATE CONTINUING EDUCATION AND STAFF DEVELOPMENT By selecting topics and teaching methods which cost-effectively meet the identified behavioral objectives. By using learning needs assessment to prioritize offerings. By establishing and maintaining a system to monitor compliance with attendance and competency achievement for individual associates, which includes feedback to individuals and the service line administrators. By providing educational opportunities that benefit nurses and therapists at all stages of their career development. 4. PARTICIPATES IN SETTING BEST PRACTICE STANDARDS TO ASSURE QUALITY OF CARE By contributing to the development and revision of nursing and interdisciplinary policies and procedures. 5. COMPLIES WITH HOSPITAL AND LEGAL REQUIREMENTS By fostering clinical practices that adhere to the hospital's philosophy, goals, and standards of care; requiring adherence to governing regulations; contributing to the development and/or revision of policy that supports evidenced-based practice. 6. SERVES AS ADVANCED PRACTICE ROLE MODEL WITH INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CUSTOMERS By developing staff, patient, resident, and family evidence based educational programs through appropriate research activities and demonstrating competent clinical skills performance. By establishing orientation and continuing education programs based on regulatory standards. By educating, directing, and assessing the activities and performance of preceptors. By collaborating with other departments as required to provide institutional education programs. By documenting the objectives, teaching plan, participation, and outcomes of educational programs. By evaluating the effectiveness of educational programs. By responding to changes in clinical practice and developing programs to support those changes. By participating in hospital committees as assigned. By developing channels of communication which will enhance working relations and service delivery across the care delivery continuum (LTC, Rehab, LTACH, outpatient, pediatric, modules, teams, clinical departments). 7. COORDINATES EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES By developing and maintaining a current calendar of all educational activities occuring within the Good Shepherd continuum and notifying all staff to upcoming events. 8. MAINTAINS COOPERATIVE RELATIONSHIPS AMONG HEALTH CARE TEAMS By communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport, and participating in team problem-solving methods. Leads committees, work groups and/or projects related to the implementation of educational activities. 11. CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT By participating on committees, sharing information, providing educational support and perspective, and by collaborating to meet educational goals. By maintaining a flexible schedule. Supports staff development with educational activities (which include remediation, certification, mentoring, life support, Joint Commission, CARF regulatory requirements, product rollouts, etc. Serves as an educational consultant to facilities, task forces, committees, and projects relating to policy, procedure, and program development. 12. MAINTAINS PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE By maintaining required educational and/or clinical competencies. By attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. By acting as a preceptor for new associates or students. By communicating performance outcomes and results. Minimum Education Requirements: Master's degree is required or should be currently enrolled in a masters level program. Minimum Experience Requirements: Two to four years of demonstrated clinical and teaching experience preferred. License/Certifications: Current PA licensure. ACLS, BLS certification and CPR trainer certification (or receives same within the year). NATP instructor certification or plans to do so within one year.
