CDR Maguire Engineering is seeking a full-time Network Administrator for our Warrendale, PA office (Not Remote).

The Network Administrator is responsible for installing, supporting, configuring and monitoring computer networks and systems to identify how performance can be improved and when updates are needed. The Network Administrator is also responsible for keeping the organization's computer network up-to-date and addressing any issues that may arise.

This person will be someone who has passion for the work they do on a daily basis in supporting the Executives, Managers and other personnel throughout the office. Having the satisfaction of job security and working with great employees in an excellent office environment.

  • Coordinate and connect various different systems and ensure that they are working properly.
  • 80% of work in this position will be desktop and software related issues and 20% will be server and network related issues.
  • Prepare users by designing and conducting training programs.
  • Provide references and support.
  • Upgrade network by conferring with vendors.
  • Develop, test, evaluate, and install enhancements.
  • Work closely with departmental managers to determine future network needs and plan for network changes.
  • Develop methods and tools to be used to test and implement new LAN/WAN equipment.
  • Engage in regular network troubleshooting activities and resolve network connectivity issues.
  • Analyze the current computer network structure and submit quarterly comprehensive reports to executive team on how to make the network more efficient.
  • This is an office position, though some remote work options may be available. Other duties which may arise from time-to-time and/or are commensurate with the title and position.


  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years' successful network troubleshooting experience
  • Experience managing a network required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

We can help keep your power system safe, efficient, reliable, and up-to-date.</p><p>The Power Systems Controls (PSC) group is a full-service systems integrator with the capabilities to integrate the necessary equipment and technologies, to provide a complete, power automation solution. This team of engineers and technicians brings extensive skills and experiences with a variety of leading HMI software packages enabling us to design graphically rich, easy-to-use operator interfaces that take advantage of the latest standalone or web-based technologies. Our experience transcends a multitude of equipment manufacturers, software packages, and network architectures, including all major OEM's HMI's, PLC's, and components. We offer single point responsibility, a high level of engineering and systems integration expertise, and a unified focus on cost effective solutions, seamless integration, HMI development, energy management tools, and professional turnkey system design and implementation.</p><p>Essential functions include:</p><ul><li><p>Programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) in ladder and structured text.</p></li><li><p>Writing and deploying DER (distributed energy resource)/Microgrid operation and control schemes, load shedding/ peak shaving schemes, breaker control schemes, SCADA system development, and generator control. Experience with relay logic is a plus</p></li><li><p>Quote general turnkey microgrid control projects (analyze specifications, price all applicable labor and materials, write a proposed scope of work, etc.)</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><p>Required (Basic) Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution</p></li><li><p>Minimum of 7 years of experience working with PLC programming and deployment of power automation projects</p></li><li><p>No relocation is being offered for this position.
