Our Pekin campus produces products destined for Health, Home& Beauty; Food and Beverage; Industry & Agriculture; Essential Ingredients; and Renewable Fuels markets. All personnel are responsible for the safety of these products, which includes participation in training, following cGMP and feed/food safety requirements in the facility, and following procedures per instruction of management.
Job Purpose: As the Network Administrator at Alto Ingredients, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of our IT network infrastructure. You will serve as the primary point of escalation for all network-related issues, leveraging your expertise to resolve complex challenges that impact our core operations. Your responsibilities will extend beyond troubleshooting; you'll lead network projects from conception to completion, manage relationships with external vendors, and oversee service contracts to ensure they meet our business needs and standards. This position demands a blend of technical prowess and strategic oversight, ensuring that our network infrastructure supports our organizational goals efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:
Design and implement strategic plans to ensure that the business technology infrastructure meets existing and future requirements
Manage and ensure the overall effectiveness of the enterprise business technology infrastructure including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, network switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless network devices
Test technology infrastructure performance and provide performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining the business technology infrastructure
Develop and support all levels of network security
Support and maintain VoIP functionality, security, and overall reliability
Monitor and maintain datacenter operations
Build and maintain documentation of all standards, policies, and procedures
Provide guidance and escalation point for other members of the team
Conduct research and make recommendations on technology products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
Practice network asset management, including maintenance of datacenter/infrastructure component inventory, lifecycle management and related documentation
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in network administration, network architecture, or a similar role, including significant experience with Windows Server environments
Demonstrated experience in project management, vendor management, and contract negotiations
Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, BGP, 802.11, QoS) and experience with Windows networking services and architecture
Solid experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds network tools)
Familiarity with scripting for automation and configuration
Knowledge of cloud services, including Microsoft 365 and Azure
Hands-on experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and network analytics tools
Experience with firewalls and SD-WAN troubleshooting and problem resolution
Ability to set up and configure server hardware and troubleshoot Windows Server performance issues
Proficient in managing Windows Server, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of roles such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
Preferred certifications: CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals, or similar
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically while working in a fast- paced environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Schedule: This is flexible, but prefer 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CT Monday through Friday. This is a hybrid position with some on-site time required.
Physical Requirements:
