SummaryThe MIL Corporation seeks a Network Administrator to support a Federal Government client at our Washington DC location. The Network Administrator will coordinate with team members to deliver consistently high-quality network infrastructure maintenance services in a fast-paced, multi priority environment.Responsibilities * Configures, tests, implements and maintains network infrastructure including power, racks and network equipment. * Maintains integrity of network equipment * Provides support at various remote locations. * Hardens network infrastructure to DoD STIG requirements. * Provides technical support by evaluating and resolving network problems * Evaluates network performance using hardware and software diagnostic tools. * Monitor network with OpManager to identify and troubleshoot site outages. * Updates and maintain documentation of client's networks. * Maintains production environment with maximum uptime with little customer impact. * Install new hardware from box to production rack and update appropriate documentation. * Installs network cabling as required. * Works general Operation and Maintenance activities on the customers network during maintenance hours that derive ServiceNow ticketing system. * Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades collaborating with network architects and Network Engineers on network optimization. * Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations. * Works network implementation project as assigned.TravelN/ARequired QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in the following: * Cisco IOS Based Switches to include Cisco Catalyst 6500, 4500, 3750 & 3560 series. Cisco IOS Based Routers to include Cisco 3900 & 2900* IOS, BGP, EIGRP, QOS, ACLs, Port Security, MAB, NetFlow, and Network Diagramming with Visio * Experience with Network Management tools including: Cisco ACS Server, NetFlow Analyzer; Wireshark for packet analysis and ManageEngine OpsManager Suite * Ability to work independently as well as with a team * Security + and/or CISSP certification * Network + Certification * Ability to manage demands with frequent changes.Desired Qualifications * Cisco ASA Firewall experience (various models)* Familiarity with Bradford and ManageEngine's OpManager is a plus * Understanding of networks and troubleshooting communication issues* CCNA, CCIE, or CCNP* Ability to speak, read and write fluently in the English LanguageEducationHigh School Diploma/GED requiredClearancePublic TrustCompensationThe MIL Corporation values your contributions and offers a range of benefits to support your overall well-being.
