The Network Administrator works as part of small team to provide networking support for Wi-Fi, LAN, and WAN in an ISP environment. Build plans and design networks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Level I & II

  • Install/Configure and support managed Wi-Fi networks.

  • Install and configure various networking equipment primarily in a Cisco environment.

  • Working knowledge of IP networking, firewalls, Wi-Fi, routing protocols and basic routing and switching.

  • Knowledge of VoIP, netflow, IPTV, QoS, SNMP, and basic networking security beneficial.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Level III

  • Possess knowledge of and/or demonstrate ability to learn the Company business processes and Information Technology tools, products and environments.

  • Design, implement and maintain company systems.

  • Administer and monitor the day-to-day activities of the systems to correct problems and tune performance in accordance with industry standards and best practices.

  • Perform systems analysis, upgrades, and capacity planning on company systems to assist with strategy and growth.

  • Monitor, support and operate C Spire's network infrastructure and managed customer solutions

  • Interact and coordinate with appropriate C Spire personnel and vendors to facilitate problem-solving and provide quality systems through systems design, troubleshooting, and operations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • LEVEL I:

  • Associate Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience with infrastructure hardware and software systems.

  • Working knowledge of UNIX/Windows operating systems expected.

  • Entry-level position in which hardware installation, networking knowledge, and network documentation experience preferred, but not required.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

  • Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic environment.

  • LEVEL II:

  • Associate Degree in a technology field or equivalent experience related to networking.

  • CCNA certification/experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of UNIX/Windows operating systems expected.

  • Experience with Cisco IOS required, IOS-XR experience preferred.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

  • Experience with VMWare, Cisco UCS, Meraki, or Aerohive is a plus.

  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining complex networks.

  • LEVEL III:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience with infrastructure hardware and software systems preferred.

  • Minimum of five years of Information Technology experience required in a production or equivalent environment.

  • CCNA certification required.

  • Working knowledge of UNIX/Windows operating systems expected.

  • Experience with Cisco IOS required, IOS-XR experience preferred.

  • Experience with VMWare, Cisco UCS, Meraki, or Aerohive is a plus.

  • Proven ability to install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot physical and virtual network environments.

  • Intimate knowledge of Cisco operating systems required.

  • Proven ability to install hardware and configure core network, large datacenter, WAN/LAN and wireless networks. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

  • Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS /WORKING CONDITIONS:Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screen. Must be able to lift 65 pounds and work with various hand tools. Must be willing to work flexible schedule, which will include nights and weekends. Frequent overnight and same day travel related to specific projects required. Must reside within 30 minute drive time of the corporate office, due to on-call responsibilities.

This is a challenging position requiring advanced technical skills, experience, communication, and critical thinking. Our goal is to create an exceptional customer experience. * * Network Support Services Engineering Team Lead leads a group of team players that can administer and troubleshoot all aspects of a client's network environment. We are currently seeking a team player with extensive Networking experience. They will be responsible for maintaining shared and customer dedicated infrastructure including but not limited to routers, firewalls, switches, VPNs, load balancing systems, and enterprise wireless. Expected to be able to do the following: Provide network diagrams, incident resolution and problem determination, document methodologies, thorough knowledge of network management, execute hardware and software installations, performance tuning and recovery. Expected to possess, develop and maintain skills in data center design standards, communications technology best practices and security processes. Responsibilities * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Build client relationships and maintain client satisfaction. * Ability to carry difficult conversations with clients regarding the complexities of the issues impacting their business as well as producing and executing the solution for it. * Team Player. Qualifications * Required Experience * 5+ years of experience supporting or implementing IT infrastructure. * 3+ years of experience primarily supporting networking technologies. * Desired Qualifications/Experience: * Bachelors in Computer Science or related field. * 3 - 5 years of experience with configuration and management of advanced networking hardware including routers, switches, voice over IP telephony, load balancers, wireless infrastructure, firewalls and internet proxy devices. * Experience with networking protocols to include advanced routing (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and switching (Cisco proprietary protocols and network standard protocols including spanning-tree, trucking protocol, MPLS). * Cisco Certifications or experience. * Citrix Certifications or experience. * VMWare Certifications or experience. * Microsoft Certifications (Administrator/Engineer level) or experience. * Leadership and management experience. * EMR/EHR/Practice Management Suites (Greenway, Allscripts, ECW, etc.) experience.
