.Net Engineer

The .Net engineer will participate on a scrum team as a technical expert in analysis, design, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software that are built using Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on highly scalable applications through all phases of the development lifecycle (initial designs to production deployments)

  • Develop and test software components using current industry tools and processes

  • Contribute to design, engineering and development of information technology solutions.

  • Accountable for the effectiveness, quality and timeliness of project design decisions and how easily those designs can be implemented.

  • Manages the troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure compatibility issues based on systems architecture, project requirements and customer expectations.

  • Provide comprehensive consultation to product owner and other IT staff at the highest technical level on all phases of the project development cycle.

  • Work closely with local and distributed teams (both agile and non-agile)

  • Continually evaluate existing systems and processes and provide ideas for improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft application development (F#, C#, VB.Net)

  • Experience in object-oriented programming and design patterns

  • Experience with continuous integration desired

  • Experience in Microsoft Windows Mobile development

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience writing unit tests

  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and working experience in an agile environment is strongly desired

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and efficiently

Developer II/ Sr * This role is posted as a job family. The compensation and title will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise.* Responsible for participating in all phases of thedevelopment and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned businessunit, client program, or corporate department and utilizing various customertechnology platforms.
