The Senior .NET Developer will assist the team in developing and supporting important applications including responsibility for participation in an underway project which requires migration of a VBA application into ASP.NET Web Application. Additionally, the Senior .NET Developer will be learning the new ASP.NET application to build knowledge, develop new features and enhancements, and perform support & maintenance in the future for this application and other proprietary web applications. The Senior .NET Developer will work integrally with a project manager to execute on the existing design framework.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing software solutions by studying information and existing VBA code

Confer with relevant team members where necessary

Study systems flow, data usage, and work processes

Deliver functional work product that has been thoroughly tested

Accurately estimate time required to complete projects and tasks

Meet mutually agreed upon deadlines for completion of modules throughout the program development

Communicate effectively with managers on progress and any complications that may arise

Research new software development practices and use advanced technologies in creating better tools for the company.

Ability to develop accurate estimates on work packages and ensures the accuracy of estimates

Works well independently; capable of self-motivating and managing

Follows all company health and safety procedures

Performs other related duties as required or assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree (B.A. or B.S.) required.
EXPERIENCE
5-7 years related experience required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
The Software Developer will demonstrate:

Proficiency with .NET/C#/ASP.NET MVC, WEB API, CSS/HTML/JavaScript, Entity Framework, Bootstrap, etc.

Proficiency with Microsoft SQL (stored procedures, views, triggers, etc.)

Familiarity with VB or VBA is preferred but not must have

Logical thinker with strong problem solving capabilities

The ability to effectively work across programming languages

Strong logical, and analytical skills, with close attention to detail

Understanding of software development using current industry technologies

Ability to work independently and be able to collaborate with other team members

Strong written and oral communication

Skills:
.NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, WEB API, CSS/HTML/JavaScript, Entity Framework, Bootstrap, etc.
