Responsible for education of community healthcare providers regarding neonatal care. Involved in fulfilling the New York State Perinatal Regional Center (RPC) designation requirements through site visits, education, data collection, and quality improvement reviews of neonatal care provided by community hospital staff with Perinatal Affiliation Agreements in place.
Function as a consultant and community resource as relates to perinatal care issues. Minimum or Preferred Qualifications Graduation from an Accredited Physician Assistant Program. Current registration and licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York State required.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification is strongly encouraged. 5 years of experience as a Neonatal Physician Assistant required. 5 years of experience in NRP/STABLE teaching experience required. 5 years of experience in Neonatal Transport required. Neona Resus Prog (NRP) required upon hire. Physician Assistant Registered required upon hire. STABLE Lead Instructor Status - Within 2 years of hire - required.
