As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality and cost-effective care to our patients.
We are seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner/Neonatal Nurse Practitioner APP Supervisor to:
Lead (50%) and practice alongside other Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and NICU Hospitalists (50%) to provide care at our two recently expanded locations: UnityPoint Health-Meriter, a 42-bed Level III NICU, and American Family Children's Hospital, a 26-bed Level IV NICU.
Manage staff, programs, and service, develop standards, role optimization and development, monitor performance and evidence-based practice, recruit, hire, and develop staff.
Attend high risk deliveries and provide medical management as a member of our multi-disciplinary group.
Provide transport for babies with C.H.E.T.A., our emergency response team.
Perform routine clinical procedures independently including providing resuscitation and stabilization of newborn, endotracheal tube placement/intubation, PICC line insertion, umbilical catheter insertion (arterial/venous), peripheral arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion and removal, thoracentesis, lumber puncture, double or partial volume exchange transfusion and neonatal transport.

Extensive knowledge of applicable state and national regulatory guidelines
Ability to actively and effectively engage with physicians, physician leaders, administrators, and departments in a heavily matrixed environment
Ability to develop and tailor presentations and communications to a broad and diverse audiences
Ability to manage priorities, projects, and timelines efficiently and effectively
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and take initiative
Ability to guide, direct, mentor, train, and work collaboratively in a team environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products
Light: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
100% FTE (50% APP Supervisor/50% NNP). The work schedule will be rotating shifts for days, nights, and weekends. The day shift hours will be from 7:00 am
5:30 pm or 7:00 am
8:00 pm; night shift hours will be 7:30 pm
8:30 am. Hours may vary based on operational needs of the department.
