We have an exciting opportunity for a per diem Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team of 2 neonatologists and 4 NNPs in Ogden, Utah.

  • Coverage is provided at three nurseries (two Level-III units and one Level-II) in the Ogden area

  • The NNPs work collaboratively with the neonatologists to provide coverage to the high-risk delivery service, including attendance at deliveries, caring for all of the infants in the NICUs, in-house rounding and nursing education

  • The shifts are 24-hours and includes on-call from home for emergencies and high-risk deliveries

While these changes may be constant, our tradition of caring and healing will never fade Critical Care Nurse Practitioner- Service Line Coordinator Job Summary: The Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (CCNP) is a member of the critical care/cardiac team and manages a caseload of critical care, cardiac/thoracic and vascular surgical patients in an intensive care setting (SICU) as well as a telemetry or cardiac care unit (CCU) and other patient care areas of the hospital. This is an exempt position, Mon-Fri, approximately 8 hours per day. The CCNP is under the direct supervision of the SICU/CCU department director, intensivists, and cardiologists. The CCNP has specialized skill and knowledge related to the unique critical/cardiovascular patient in the SICU and CCU setting; performs physical exams, collects and documents data, conducts approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies and professional consultations, prescribes appropriate interventions and medications, and provides direct patient care services in the SICU and CCU departments. The CCNP also performs similar work in the Cardiopulmonary department under the direction of a sponsoring physician. The CCNP performs all varieties of IP and OP cardiac stress tests under the direction of a sponsoring physician and during normal business hours. The CCNP is responsible to communicate assessment findings, concerns, and patient candidacy for testing to appropriate physicians. The CCNP contributes to excellence in patient care, scheduling, research, teaching, consulting, and provides leadership to the organization and nursing profession * Possession of a Registered Advance Nurse Practitioner License required * Possession of an active National Certification from an accrediting board. (IE: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners – AANP, American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Certification – ANCC, Pediatric Nurse Certification Board – PNCB, etc.). * One year clinical experience preferred. * Graduation of an accredited school of nursing. * Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Master's degree required. * Current BLS certification (available after hire). * Current ACLS and PALS certification preferred.
