Seeking a dedicated & passionate Neonatal APP to work in a supportive fast-paced environment at our academic health care & community setting. We offer a variety of flexible shift options up to 24 hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The provider will assess, implement, and evaluate appropriate plans of care for patients in accordance with the scope of practice of a Neonatal provider and current standard of care. The Neonatal APP will manage a caseload of medically complex neonates in the acute phase and transition to home and participate in high-risk deliveries. The APP must demonstrate age-appropriate care to neonates from birth to two years old.

The neonatal APP will be expected to initiate and participate in education, research, and professional activities that contribute to improving patient care, Neonatal APP program operation, or the Neonatal APPs own professional development. This position will be a split/shared position within our level III-IV NICU and Stepdown unit at UH Cleveland Medical Center RB&C and community coverage in the level I-II nursery at Tripoint, Southwest General, & Ahuja Medical Centers. Position Summary:

Performs patient assessment and assigns diagnosis based on recorded assessment data and current scientific and current research. Establishes plan of care and implements interventions in accordance with care paths, protocols, and standards of care and current research. Collaborates w/other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family.

Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures Develop and implement treatment plans Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self. Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management. Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism.

Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers.

Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment. Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.

For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Qualifications: Education: Master of Science in nursing with advanced practice certification specific to the neonatal population OR Master of Science in physician assistant studies Experienced acute care PNP will be considered License Requirements:

Current Ohio Nursing license.

Current Ohio APRN license.

Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.

Current Ohio PA license. Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of experience working as a NICU RN with recent NNP program completion preferred.

PA with neonatal experience will be considered. Experience working as a Neonatal APP for a large healthcare system Skills: • Effective oral and written communication skills • A variety of technical patient care devices specific to the clinical area. • Proficiency with computers and selected office equipment. • BLS and NRP provider certification • DEA license provided through the hospital • Strong clinical assessment and analytical skills • Self-directed professional with strong organizational skills Education: Master of Science in nursing with advanced practice certification specific to the neonatal population OR Master of Science in physician assistant studies License Requirements:

Current Ohio Nursing license.

Current Ohio APRN license.
