Working within a team environment, the NDT Technician will have responsibility for conducting penetrant, ultrasonic, radiographic or eddy current inspection. He/she will participate in inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are manufactured in accordance with manufacturing standards and specifications. All manufacturing team members are responsible to ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the assigned cell.
High School or GED and three to five years' experience in two out of four NDI methods (Ultrosonic, Radiographic, Penetrant and Eddy Current) with at least three years' experience as a level II in the two methods. Effective interaction with team members, customers and all levels of management.
Reads, understands and correctly interprets basic blueprint drawings. Must be able to work 2nd shift. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Physical lifting requirements include: ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and ability to reach above the shoulder (65 inches above floor level, minimum).
