Non-destructive testing of precision machined parts, purchased parts, and assemblies. Work from and interpret technical specifications and industry standards. Generate and maintain records of inspection results. Assist with the training of Level I NDE inspectors.Responsibilities:
1.Inspection*
  • Perform VT, PT, DR, and LVL II Review inspections on couplings, internal components, and raw materials per specified company and industry standards. * Generate accurate and detailed inspection reports. * Attend audits on processes and procedures as required. * Use light meters, weld gauges, temperature gauges, digital calipers, x-ray machines, videoscopes, and other basic inspection equipment. * Create and operate digital radiography programs with little or no supervision. * Review outsourced VT, PT, and RT documentation for accuracy. * Interpret DR images per industry specifications and standards. * Maintain NDE areas in a 5S inspection ready state. * Communicate effectively and work in a team-oriented environment. * Work with co-workers and supervision to effectively troubleshoot equipment and process issues. * Comply with all safety requirements.2.Quality*
  • Read, understand, and interpret the Hunting Quality Manual. * Read and understand documentation such as part lists, operating procedures, part drawings, and quality procedures. * Read and implement all Hunting NDE procedures and acceptance criteria to all specified parts. * Perform process controls as required in VT, PT, and DR methods.3.Non-conforming Material*
  • Report and record results on non-conforming parts/material. * Participate in root cause analysis and interpretation as required.4.Training*
  • Provide coaching and training on best practices and compliance to operating and quality procedures to level I personnel. * Maintain NDE level II certifications to SNT-TC-1A. * Work toward acquiring ASNT Nationally Accredited ACCP or ASNT 9712 Level II certifications in VT, PT and RT. * Become proficient in using the Olympus videoscope. * Become proficient in using NSI's digital radiography software including efX-DR and efX-View.5.ERP System Utilization*
  • Utilize ERP System to perform inspection processes. * Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)* Moving Material * Processing Job Travelers * Processing P.O. Receipts * Creating operations * Generate Discrepant Material Reporting (DMR).Required Skills and Experience: * Required: High school diploma. Previous certification as Level II in RT. Certification in DR, VT, PT preferred. * Preferred: Minimum of 5 years work experience in NDE or a manufacturing environment as a Level II Technician. Must have strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. * Digital Radiography * Programming experience is a plus, but not required. * Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)* Moving Material * Processing Job Traveler * Processing P.O. Employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.Candidates are required to be authorized to work in the United States.
