PharMerica Brockton MA/Portland ME is recruiting a Full Time Nurse Consultant to join our team.

The NCS Nurse Consultant researches current standards, therapies, and other topics as it relates to nursing for pharmacies and long term care facilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Reviews nursing home medication pass process and provides feedback.

  • Performs Mar-Med Card audits, Med Records audits, Med Cart Audits, Med Room Audits, and 3-way audits in assigned facilities.

  • Perform new business start-up implementations when necessary.

  • Perform mock surveys.

  • Must have the ability to quickly and effectively understand customer issues and challenges, and translate them into a resolution plan.

  • Acts as a performance improvement resource for the pharmacy.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with professional organizations and national/state agencies to enhance knowledge base relative to pharmaceutical therapies and education.

  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • LPN licensure required; RN preferred

  • 1+ years experience in LTC Pharmacy or LTC facility

  • Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred

  • Knowledge and proficiency with EMR's

  • State drivers license and unrestricted LPN license in good standing

  • Excellent customer service and verbal/written Communication skills

  • Must be willing to travel 100%

  • Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail with proficient planning/organizing.

The position requires thought leadership and implementation solutions for retained clients and new business opportunities.</strong></p> <p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Responsible for building and maintaining strategies to support client goals and objectives with a focus on population health and care management. </li> <li>Responsible for thought leadership within NFP, to include current trends, clinical protocols and best practices, research on related topics, knowledge of vendor solutions and strategies that target chronic care management, and industry knowledge of market capabilities. </li> <li>Review and analyze industry and client data to present the opportunity for population health management and the impact of disease management programs and provide client specific strategies, where appropriate.</li> <li>Work one-on-one with clients and with account management teams to share knowledge, ideas, and project plans to achieve goals. Train the account management team on the latest industry wellbeing trends and on NFP’s value to clients in managing health.</li> <li>Evaluate, recommend, and implement vendors that provide reliable and clinically proven disease management tools and methods that manage health outcomes and costs.
