Position Summary:

Plan, organize and formulate efficient operational programs for numerical control machines through the application of established or pre-determined manufacturing engineering methods to provide optimum utilization of machine capabilities and tooling arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Developing a complete NC package using Catia V5 and/or Mastercam for 5-axis machines.
  • NC Package includes, but is not limited to, effective and effiecient NC part program files, optimal cutter selection, all setup documention, tooling/fixture/drill jig design and drafting, NC tooling programs, clean Vericut verifcation file, and shop aid sketches/drawings.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equilevent

  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC programming experience

  • Profiencient in Catia V5 and Vericut 7.4 or 8

  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation and write appropraite shop floor work instructions

  • High attention to detal and ability to handle multiple priorities/ tasks

  • Excellent communcation skills both written and verbal

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word required.

  • Abillity to meet deadlines

  • Experience in complex 5-axis parts preferred

  • Knowledge of/or experience in machining preferred.

  • CNC machining experience is preferred

The position creates CNC programs for manufacturing aerospace components, cutter selection, setup documentation, tooling design and drafting, CNC tooling programs, verification and shop aid sketches. This position is responsible for the creation of CNC machine programs for the manufacturing of mid to high complexity aerospace components.
