Principal Duties & Responsibilities: We have 3 openings for this role. Two are 1st shift and one is 2nd shift.
Under supervision, sets up and operates N/C to machine complex parts. Works to blueprints and follows program readouts. Works to finish requirements and tolerances. Selects specified cutting tools and makes adjustments.
Observes performance of tools and makes necessary changes and adjustments, including tool offsets. May receive occasional guidance from Group Leader and higher-level machinists.
Constantly monitors proper operation of machine and quality of parts. Uses measuring and inspection equipment such as micrometers, scales, verniers, calipers, and depth gauges to check parts to specification with assistance from supervision and higher-level machinists.
Performs secondary operations such as drilling and de-burring if machine cycle permits extra activities.
Responsible for keeping tools, work area, and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
