Responsibilities and Qualifications

Performs as a navigator in the Ambulatory Telemedicine program Mercy Virtual and in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Mercy rules, regulations, policies and procedures, and performs all duties assigned by Medical Director, in the ambulatory program, concerning patients and their care. Facilitate patient/family experience at Mercy virtual by providing coordinated personal, professional and compassionate service. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Answer telephone calls from patients/Family in Mercy Virtual Ambulatory ProgramCoordinate Telemedicine visit(s), testing, procedures and/or appointments for the patients in their care team.Facilitate and/or answer patient questions and/or concerns about treatment plan and program.Confirm all patient equipment is delivered and working properly.Educate the patient on all in home equipment and peripherals.Communicate with stakeholders to include patient, physicians, clinics and medical staff.Track and report statistics and information as requested.Schedule all telemedicine visits in the care team in triage software.Participate in the Quality Assurance Program of Mercy Virtual.Participates in the Share governance team.

VIEW JOBS 11/14/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-12T00:00 Description Under the direction of the Radiology Supervisor, will edit reports from the Voice Recognition System using hospital PCs / equipment. May be required to perform varied clerical and secretarial duties requiring an understanding of the department and procedures. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values. Principal Accountabilities: 1. Edits the transcribed document against the actual dictation from Powerscribe / voice recognition and proof read for accuracy. 2. Assure that radiologist receives edited reports for review and release in a timely manner. 3. Maintain good communication with the radiologists and supervisor. 4. Performs other duties as assigned / adding addendums and corrections in RIS/Cerner Education Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Experience Must have excellent typing skills with a minimum of 70 wpm typing speed. Must have a thorough knowledge of medical / radiology terminology and spelling. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and punctuation. Must have excellent acoustical skills. Must have the ability to understand diverse accents, dialects, and varying dictation styles. Must have the ability to navigate the dictation voice recognition system, RIS / Cerner, computer network, and Microsoft Word. Must have the ability to Edit dictation of a complex and confidential nature. Must be able to cut or copy and paste reports from one system to the other. Understands the requirement for both accuracy and speed, with accuracy being Critical. Uses discretion when handling privileged patient information. An Editor must make sure every word, from the smallest to the most complex medical term, in the final report exactly what the radiologist dictated rather than what the voice recognition system heard Working Conditions Employee is required to sit continuously and walk occasionally. Employee must lift/carry a light (1-20 lbs.) load occasionally. Employee is occasionally required to bend, squat, kneel, lift waist to overhead. Employee is occasionally required to reach forward and reach overhead. For repetitive action, employee is required to use both hands for simple grasping and pushing/pulling. Employee is continually exposed to CRT terminal work. (Occasionally: 1-33%, Frequently: 34-66%, Continuously: 67-100%) The most significant of duties are included but this does not exclude occasional work assignments not mentioned or developmental duties. Job Relationships: Member of a comprehensive healthcare team, including other healthcare providers, the patient, the patient's family and significant others. Takes direction from: Radiology Director, Radiology Supervisor, and Chief Radiologist Provides direction to: Supervised by: Radiology Supervisor.
