Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture or related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Agile experience preferred.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred, but not required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As a Naval Architect you will design, develop, integrate, and test manned and unmanned US Navy Ships. You will have access to current subject matter expertise while also be given the opportunity to leverage new technology and trends. What you bring to the table:
Experience with design, development, and analysis of new ship and modification of existing ship concepts while ensuring for satisfying of performance requirements
Proficiency in evaluating existing and new designs for risks and feasibility
Shipboard or shipyard experience
Strong proficiency with system modeling and analysis tools
Experience coordinating with multiple sub-contractors
Experience with ship arrangements including payload integration
