The Role: NATO DIANA Consortium Director
Location: Boston, Massachusetts (Remote)
Reports to: Chief of Staff
Compensation: $60,000 for 6-month contract role

MassChallenge is currently seeking a NATO DIANA Consortium Director to represent MassChallenges perspective in a three-party consortium to support NATO DIANA to implement their dual-use acceleration programs.
Position Summary
The NATO Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) Consortium Director shall be responsible for consulting NATO DIANA alongside our consortium partners. The day-to-day work and responsibilities vary depending on program needs. One main responsibility of the Consortium Director is to support program managers at up to ten accelerator sites, ensuring each has the necessary tools, resources, and networks to successfully deliver NATO DIANA. This individual will also support the greater MassChallenge efforts in dual-use innovation.
Location
Preferably, the NATO DIANA Consortium Director will work from the MassChallenge Boston Headquarters on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but we are also open to remote work. Occasional work after-hours will be necessary to support the execution of NATO DIANA and other dual-use focused events. Travel required is estimated at 10% both domestically and internationally.
What You'll Do
Program and Client Management
Represent MassChallenge and the broader Consortium in conversations with NATO DIANA and accelerator sites
Establish avenues of communication and trust among multiple parties to ensure strong and consistent program delivery across locations
Provide oversight for program implementation across North American accelerator sites, in tandem with NATO DIANA and local country governments
Support the development and collection of key performance metrics
Track lessons learned and feedback received during the program to adapt it for future iterations
Advise on the successful execution of other dual-use accelerator programs within MassChallenge, as needed
Share frameworks, reference points, and recommendations to help NATO DIANA drive toward decisions in a timely manner
Be a strong team player within the Consortium, stepping up to fill gaps and/or meet tight timelines
Manage conflicting perspectives and approaches; facilitate conversations to decide on a unified way forward
Community Development
Recruit and onboard experts, evaluators, mentors, and lecturers to join the NATO DIANA and MassChallenges dual-use networks through strategic networking
Onboard recruited experts, evaluators, mentors, and lecturers to NATO DIANA
Build relationships with relevant stakeholders, including accelerator site leads, test centers, government representatives, etc.
Represent MassChallenge, NATO DIANA, and the Consortium at local and global ecosystem events, growing our dual-use network
Contribute to the consortium's proposals for future partnerships/offerings to dual-use stakeholders
What You Bring
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelors Degree required, MBA or other Masters degree preferred
5 or more years of experience in management consulting and/or project management
Experience in accelerator operations, recruitment, and supporting small businesses
Knowledge of the United States defense ecosystem & acquisition practices
Record of strong leadership, strategic thinking, and sound judgment

Previous accelerator management experience ideal but not required
Knowledge of the dual use innovation ecosystem ideal but not required

Compensation
MassChallenge offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment.
Salary is based on a nonprofit scale and commensurate with skills and experience.
For this 6-month contract position, the base salary is $60,000
Internal equity considerations and the average salary of the peer range will be reviewed before making a final offer.
