The National Settlements Team is seeking a Senior Commercial Relationship Manager. The National Settlements team works with plaintiff class action law firms and claims administrators located across the United States, and provides credit, deposit, treasury management, and other services to our clients. The Huntington National Settlements group is a dynamic, growing team within the Huntington. This position is to lead a small Commercial team which will service the National Settlement Team's borrowers, who are generally law firms.
This person will assess and profile class action law firms and claims administrators' financial needs and introduce products and/or specialists. Generates and manages business deposits and loans for clients. Works across all business segments to develop strong partnerships in order to effectively additional products/services to these clients. Coordinates all servicing needs of the client.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Disciplined and motivated self-starter who can manage business development efforts with minimal management oversight. This individual will develop and deepen relationships with clients and prospective clients through consultative selling and introductions to appropriate bank partners in treasury management, capital markets, insurance, wealth and private banking, and retail banking. The candidate will lead team of cross functional colleagues in collaborative pre-call planning sessions resulting in robust client interactions. We are seeking someone who can brings new ideas to clients and challenges them to consider alternative ways of doing business. This is an opportunity for a self-starter with the ability to develop and grow their own portfolio.
Maintains an updated qualified prospect list and pipeline that aligns with the risk profile of the bank by partnering effectively with credit and risk colleagues
Proactively works to close opportunities and will make recommendations on appropriate credit structure while effectively articulating the bank recommendation to clients and prospective clients.
Keeps abreast of risk-related changes that may impact assigned work functions and processes.
Maintains a passion for learning and new skill development and a willingness to mentor colleagues.
Interest in and willingness to be actively involved in community service including potentially serving on the board of directors of a non-profit organization.
