The Associate Director, DMS Sales leads a team of sales managers and agents that conduct selling activities related to inbound calls inquiring about individual health plan products. The Associate Director, DMS Sales requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s).


The Associate Director, DMS Sales actively works towards creating a highly engaging, top-performing team of managers and telesales agents to best serve customers seeking quality healthcare products. Strategizes, guides, mentors and motivates approximately 12 sales managers and indirectly leads 100+ telesales agents. Collaborates very closely with peers in order to synergize collective efforts within the department. Decisions are typically related to identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within department(s). Performs other relevant duties deemed necessary to achieve department and company-wide goals. Will work in our Miramar, FL office.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Active health Insurance license in the state of Florida (OR the ability and willingness to obtain within 75 days of hire date)

  • 2+ years of formal management experience

  • 3+ years of sales experience

  • 1+ years of call center experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven success in creating highly engaged and top-performing teams

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Prior experience managing leaders

  • Experience in the healthcare or wellness solutions industry

  • Active life Insurance license in the state of Florida (OR the ability and willingness to obtain within 75 days of hire date)

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish -- ability to read, write and speak both languages without limitation or assistance

Additional Information

Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.
