We have an opportunity for a National Sales Manager to lead our sales team for the Residential Water Treatment systems category within the Pentair Water Solutions segment. Our RWT systems category consists of both Filtration (Point-Of-Use) and Water Systems (Point-Of-Entry) product lines. This is a strategically focused growth category, and we are looking for a sales growth leader. In this critical senior leadership role, you will develop, implement, and lead a focused sales strategy for the residential business including hiring and developing leadership for the sales team. This is a highly visible position that requires high accountability and serves as a critical component of the overall Water Solutions strategic segment strategy.
This posting is for one national sales role and ideal candidates will be located in any of the following metropolitan areas: Milwaukee, WI; Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN; Raleigh, NC; or Charlotte, NC).
You will:
Direct sales and manage the promotion, organization, and guidance of sales policies and practices to provide profitable market penetration of products.
Establish and ensure achievement of sales, growth, and revenue targets for the residential water treatment and filtration market.
Direct business development in conjunction with product and channel management at target customer or vertical markets.
Develop and execute channel specific pricing, promotions, and strategies as well as drive new product introduction and commercialization.
Coach, mentor, and develop sales talent to maximize teams' potential as well as identify and build a bench for promotional opportunities.
Coordinate efforts between field sales, product management, customer service and marketing to ensure the highest quality of customer satisfaction.
Key Qualifications:
Have earned a Bachelor's (B.A. or B.S.) degree.
Have 7-10 years of professional sales experience, which must include B2B sales experience selling finished goods / tangible products into the professional wholesale industry (retail channels a plus).
Have 4-5 years of experience directly managing people with demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback to team members to support continuous improvement and positive behavioral change.
Experience with and/or thorough market knowledge of water filtration and water treatment is a bonus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and data analytics tools.
Effective internal consulting skills along with the ability to positively influence others in a desired direction to achieve identified outcomes without direct lines of authority.
Experience utilizing relevant sales tools and software, such as Salesforce or other CRM.
