Johnson Electric is seeking a dynamic National Sales Manager. This pivotal role will be based in our corporate offices in Vandalia, Ohio. As part of our Industry Products Group, the NSM will oversee products catered to the industrial sector across the Americas. This role involves expanding and managing a business that serves a diverse range of industrial segments, collaborating closely with nationally recognized manufacturers in the Consumer Products, Lawn & Garden, Robotics, Home Technologies, Transportation, and Medical Device industries.

The Role:

The National Sales Manager at Johnson Electric is focused on generating new business by identifying and engaging potential clients through lead generation, networking, and strategic partnerships. This role involves developing compelling value propositions, delivering persuasive sales presentations, and negotiating successful deal closures. Market analysis for identifying expansion opportunities, collaboration for innovation, and the creation of sales enablement tools are key to effectively attracting new customers and achieving sales targets. This position is critical for driving Johnson Electric's growth through proactive customer acquisition strategies.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identifying and targeting new business opportunities through extensive market research, networking, and leveraging digital platforms to generate leads.

  • Customer Value Proposition: Developing compelling value propositions tailored to the needs of potential clients, highlighting the unique benefits of Johnson Electric's products and services.

  • Sales Pitch and Presentation: Crafting and delivering persuasive sales pitches and presentations to potential clients, effectively communicating the value and benefits of Johnson Electric's offerings to secure new contracts.

  • Negotiation and Deal Closure: Leading negotiations with prospective clients, focusing on favorable terms that meet both the client's needs and Johnson Electric's business objectives, and successfully closing deals.

  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Developing accurate sales forecasts and setting budgets accordingly. This includes regular reporting to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and the progress of achieving strategic goals.

  • Market Analysis for Expansion Opportunities: Continuously analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion.

  • Innovation Input: Collaborating with the product development, business development and marketing teams to provide insights from the field that could lead to innovative product offerings or marketing strategies targeting new customers.

  • Networking and Industry Events: Actively participating in industry events, conferences, and seminars to network with potential clients and stay abreast of industry trends and opportunities.

  • Partnership and Alliance Building: Establishing strategic partnerships and alliances with complementary businesses and industry influencers to expand market reach and drive new business opportunities.

  • Sales Enablement Tools Development: Collaborating with marketing and product teams to develop sales enablement tools, such as case studies, product demos, and whitepapers, that effectively support the sales process.

Our Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree: In Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Professional Certifications: Sales, marketing, or leadership certifications can be an added advantage.

  • 6+ year of proven successful sales or business development experience, ideally in the same

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business

  • Experience with CRM Tools

  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
