Position Overview:National Purchasing Manager
AVDG is looking for a National Purchasing Manager who will be responsible for managing national vendor relationships and expectations through quarterly business reviews and regular KPI reporting to ensure adherence to both pricing and service level commitments across the vendor base.
In addition, this key member of our leadership team will define and implement purchasing and inventory management and best practices across a matrix organization of purchasing analysts and buyers in various locations nationwide. Through weekly roundtables and coaching, this individual will work with each local team, to develop inventory management and buying strategies that deliver high quality, optimal cost, and on-time availability.
This position will be engaging and manage supplier relations, pricing, procurement, and processes that meet AVDG strategic plans. Following best practices and our guidelines will purchase and approve payment of goods, materials, and services as well as continue to build a network of vendors, negotiates pricing and terms, and foster relationships.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
Negotiate and manage contracts and pricing on an annual and quarterly basis, depending on commodity cycles for each category.
Develop and roll-out planning and purchasing processes and tools to standardize activities.
Regularly coordinate review and improvement of processes for purchasing and inventory control.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of commodity market conditions in key product categories.
Ensure inventory accuracy at all times to avoid overbuying.
Participate in hiring, staff training and development, and the supervision of purchasing teams.
Ensure appropriate professional development and team building and coaching for direct and extended team members.

To join our band you'll need the following experience:
Bachelor's Degree or college education highly preferred but not required
Certifications in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Inventory, CPP, CSCP, CPIM...a big plus.
Minimum of 6 years of directly relevant experience in procurement, sourcing with management or supervisory experience
Audio-Video Integration, Tech, or related industry preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, high proficiency with different ERP and purchasing systems required, experience with Solutions 360 is a big plus.
Strong demonstrated leadership - leads and motivates people (both internal and external)
Excellent analytical and financial skills
Ability to adapt to different situations, cultures and people
