Position Description:
The National Literacy Consultant reports directly to the National Director of Consultant Services and will be responsible to drive sales of Literacy Solutions across the board to establish hand2mind as a strong supplemental hands-on solution provider in school districts across the nation. This position will lead the effort of partnering with reps and managers to achieve a literacy sales goal and to firmly re-establish h2m as a player in the Literacy market. This person will also be required to work cross functionally with Product Development, Marketing and Custom Solutions to offer guidance on Literacy Solutions. This position is primarily focused on pre-sales; in other words, this is not a "back-end training role." Full time dedicated National Consultants in the industry leverage their deep academic credentials and experience to act as trusted partners with potential customers - which will lead to massive sales growth.
Additional requirements are a deep background and experience in the PreK - 8 Literacy space along with the ability to deliver winning sales presentations, one on one strong communication skills, develop strategic campaigns, and collaborate with Sales, Product Development, Marketing and Custom.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Custom around all aspects of PreK - 8 Literacy
Build and execute effective winning Literacy sales campaigns in partnership with sales and marketing
Team sells with Reps and managers as well as cross functional partners
Develop "trusted partner" long term relationships with clients
Achieve Literacy Sales Goal
Deliver winning sales presentations - both in f2f situations as well as virtually
Participate in 1:1 customer meetings with reps and managers as prioritized
Responsible for Literacy selling strategy at Conferences and Exhibits
Coordinate event based selling strategy nationally - partnering with reps and managers
Participate on all Literacy RFPs as needed
Partner with sales support to identify Federal Programs to drive Literacy solutions as an alternative stream of revenue via RFPs
Requirements/Preferences:
Five years' minimum of experience in the Literacy School and/or School Publishing Industry
Master's degree at minimum
Deep Elementary School Curriculum experience and knowledge
Dynamic presentation skills required along with strong interpersonal communication skills - both f2f and virtually
Understanding of Federal Programs as an alternative stream of sales revenue
Extensive travel is required
