Reporting to the National Head of Home Operations, the Head of Procurement will be leading an innovative team focused on developing a vendor and purchasing strategy to support national operations including but not limited to: structuring cost effective national product agreements, managing material RFPs, leading product and initiative rollouts, developing a vendor pipeline management system, providing cross functional procurement support, collaborating with Engineering, Product & Design on streamlined systems for our vendors, and de-risking our construction operations by developing strategic relationships. The National Procurement Team will also be focused on supporting the development of other customer centric initiatives to generate revenue for our Opendoor.

Lead a team of regional vendor managers, procurement agents, inventory managers and supporting coordinators to drive speed, cost & quality in our operations, nationally.
Support the market Heads of Construction through the ongoing training of a team of market Vendor Managers who will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing, onboarding, and performance management of vendors in each of our cities.
Develop, implement and oversee training program for all Opendoor cities Nationally to standardize scoping practices, compress costs and improve outcomes.
Develop standard performance metrics and reporting to provide local leadership with the visibility necessary to evaluate and drive improvement in the local vendor base.
Structure cost effective programs with national suppliers that meet local operational demands and drive product quality and consistency.
Develop and oversee a centralized vendor onboarding and compliance program.
Partner with the Product team to design software solutions to streamline communication between market teams and vendor field operations.
Develop training manuals to ensure proper use of systems by our vendor partners.
Develop revenue generating programs to drive value for our customers and provide services to them unavailable in the marketplace today.
Support the Head of Home Operations in all aspects of procurement and vendor management by collaborating with other internal teams to align goals and meet company objectives.

10+ years of relevant experience building out vendor systems and platforms to support rapid growth
5+ years of supervisory experience
MBA or similar graduate degree preferred
An eagerness to set & meet aggressive goals
Incredible attention to quality, detail, and deadlines

Willingness to travel domestically
