You are a Marketing Events Manager

This role is responsible for managing and executing Lexia's marketing events programs, including all industry events, trade shows, and hosted customer events. This professional will leverage experience in event management to deliver programs that align to sales needs.

This position will be based out of the Concord, MA office location.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a balanced marketing events program that addresses company priorities focused on lead generation and thought leadership.

  • Leverage knowledge of business priorities to research, prioritize, budget, and plan Lexia's trade show schedule; prepare the cross-departmental team to maximize the event opportunity; manage the work of the events team to execute trade show plans

  • Budget, plan and execute on the logistics of Lexia's Leadership Summits; manage the work of a team to execute the Summit.

  • Conduct venue research and site visits

  • Manage all attendee communication and follow-up correspondence; coordinate related event materials

  • Attend events as needed; troubleshoot issues as they arise to ensure excellent customer service

  • Set, communicate, and maintain timelines and budget on event programs

  • Identify and maintain relationships with key vendors, negotiate terms and manage budgets

  • Provide post-event analysis, feedback and budget recaps to manager and other departments

Skills and experience required:

  • 4-6 years of experience managing corporate hosted events

  • Experience leading a team; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead by example.

  • Experience in vendor relations, venue selections, contract negotiations, etc.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills at a micro and macro level.

  • Experience managing event budgets

  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to travel 10%-15% in the continental US

  • Experience using event registration platforms highly preferred

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move animals and items that weigh more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
