To learn more, visit POSITION OVERVIEW LIFT is seeking an Events Coordinator for its growing national development team.
The Events Coordinator will support national and regional fundraising efforts by overseeing LIFT event-related activities, including: coordinating logistics for all fundraising events and donor meetings; tracking event data and analytics; maintaining event calendars; managing vendors, event attendance and volunteers; and undertaking administrative duties related to events.
Reporting to the Development Director, the Events Coordinator role provides an exciting opportunity for an emerging development professional to grow his or her skills in a dynamic and nimble workplace.
AS AN EVENTS COORDINATOR, YOU WILL: Manage development-related event coordination: planning, facility and equipment booking, vendor management, event logistics, and day-of-event coordination including; set-up and volunteer management Lead volunteer recruitment, selection, and training and develop event staffing plan Communicate important updates to presenters and attendees Coordinate presenter and attendee travel and lodging including hotel blocks as needed Help track event timeline and budget Support the accurate and timely processing of gift acknowledgement letters for all event fundraising Help track sponsor commitments via SalesForce Assist with organizations fundraising efforts including; invitations, outbound calls, mail correspondences, and email campaign letters Work with designers to develop collateral for events (invites, signage, pamphlets, delight factors, etc.) Reconcile event revenue with LIFTs finance team Travel as-needed to LIFT sites to support the execution of events (10% of time) OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE You have one-two years of experience coordinating events You have experience with fundraising and or nonprofit events You have experience using Salesforce or a donor management system (strongly preferred). You have a track record of being customer service oriented.
You are highly detail-oriented and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You are a high-functioning teammate and excel at working collaboratively.
