Business Development Director

At Fjord, Business Development is crucial to our success as a company, and defines the work we do. Our Business Developers are the face of Fjord's story and offering, and devise how our capabilities can profoundly impact client business.

As the Business Development Director, you lead the Business Development function at the studio and regional level, and represent design and innovation for opportunities from broader Accenture and/or clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a team, we:

  • Pursue business opportunities that reflect Fjord's strengths.

  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to align business needs with solutions.

  • Seek opportunities and relationships that leverage our problem-solving capabilities.

As a Business Development Director, you:

  • Will be the primary connection point to the various leaders throughout Accenture serving the travel, automotive, life sciences and retail industries, for large, strategically-led, design-infused deals and industry content

  • Will provide ongoing industry-based content and deal support to the multiple Fjord studios throughout North America

  • Will create and present thought leadership pieces throughout the year

  • Are responsible for speaking at multiple industry-related external events/conferences

  • Have an operational and presentational mastery of the Fjord story and offering to help advise clients about design and innovation. Also draw up proposals and statements of work.

  • Lead and oversee proposal and statement of work conception and writing.

  • Advise clients on Fjord proposals and points of views, stepping them through operational and tactical nuances.

  • Drive and lead Fjord design engagement pursuits.

  • Lead design education sessions for prospective Accenture Interactive clients and drive resulting business pursuits.

  • Own the craft, capability, and quality output at the project level.

  • Regularly connect with the regional Accenture Interactive Business Development counterpart to co-create account strategies and pursuit plans.

  • Oversee and be accountable for Business Development team work at the regional level.

  • Qualify individual pursuit requests to ensure Fjord appropriateness. If something does not qualify, provide triage to other design support entities within Accenture.

  • Oversee all Business Development activities and deliverables in relation to pursuits.

  • Develop pitch decks with regional studios.

  • Attend, help plan, and contribute to Fjord and business development community events; be a Fjord ambassador.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Your experience:

  • 10+ years of agency or innovation consultant sales experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Set yourself apart:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Development or related field preferred.

  • Proficient in establishing regional sales goals.

  • Advanced understanding of and experience with driving and applying human-centered design processes, working collaboratively with customers and cross-functional teams.

  • Advanced understanding of and experience in Service and Product Design.

  • Advanced understanding of and curiosity about technology and its impact on design solutions.

  • Proven history managing cross-functional teams to create powerful, effective and coherent design solutions.

  • Excellent leadership skills, problem-resolution abilities, and good judgment.

Please note: Candidates can live anywhere in the US as long as you are within a 90 minute commute from an approved Accenture office.

Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the assignment location in order to meet "call out" requirements. If a candidate does not currently live within this area, candidate must be willing to immediately relocate to meet this requirement at their own expense. * Candidate must be available and accessible in times of emergency which could include evenings, weekends and holidays. * Candidate must be available and accessible at least 50% of time for emergency "call-out". * Candidate must be available for travel outside the state to support storm emergencies as needed. NOTE: Subject to the Georgia Power Company Smoke Free Workplace Policy: You must be free from all tobacco products (including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, chew, snuff, patch and/or gum), at least six months prior to applying for this position. LINEMAN IN TRAINING (LIT) JOB SUMMARY * Job Duties include (but not limited to): * Pole Climbing (up to 60 feet). * Working in an overhead position while on the pole. * Pulling and splicing wires. * Installing Electrical Service (pole to pole OR pole to service point). * Operate/Drive Company Trucks including Bucket Trucks. * Operate heavy equipment (Backhoe or similar equipment). * Work in adverse conditions outdoors - day and night hours. * Operate Electrical system - Transmission, Substation and Distribution Switching * Writing Switching Orders * Basic understanding of electrical Distribution Systems * Troubleshooting * After Hours first responder Note: This is a position covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Georgia Power and IBEW Local 84 and is governed by this agreement. Union membership is optional. The starting salary is $5,125/month OR $29.56/hour. This rate is NON - negotiable and is governed by this agreement which includes an increase every six months assuming satisfactory performance, until you max out in your job classification and a negotiated general increase every July. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Job Experience and Education * Minimum of 3 years of linework experience in distribution is required. * Minimum of 1 year energized overhead distribution experience is required. * Minimum of 1 year underground distribution experience is preferred. * Previous experience working on the Georgia Power system highly preferred. * Must demonstrate skills, knowledge, and ability by successfully completing the company's pre-employment Lineman-in-Training Evaluation will be required. * New Construction and maintenance line work is desirable. * Familiar with heavy equipment directly related to line work skill sets. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Basic mechanical aptitude. * Knowledge of hand tools. * Experience using hydraulic and battery tools. * Previous experience with material handling bucket trucks. * Knowledge of when and how to apply proper cover-up in energized situations. * Proficient climber. * Knowledge of circuit protection. * Ability to take instructions, directions and translate into actions. * Familiar with industry standard safe work practices. * Pre-employment testing may be required depending on level of related work experience. * Ability to quickly learn the Georgia Power work practices and work rules Other Requirements * Must be available for scheduled or emergency call out which could include evenings, weekends and holidays. * Must be available to travel outside of the state for storm restoration as needed. * Valid driver's license and "Class A" CDL is required. * Maximum weight of 270 lbs. fully clothed (includes hard hat and work boots) due to weight-restricted aerial devices required. * Customer oriented, team player, willing to learn new skills, motivated, resourceful, excellent driving skills, proactive, performs work following safety standards and procedures. * Candidates are responsible for all expenses related to traveling for testing, interview(s), etc. related to pre-employment requirements. * A thorough background check and DOT drug screen (including nicotine) will be conducted prior to employment (after a job offer is extended).
