Duties
As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Enterprise Governance and Operational Risk), you will:
Serve as an enterprise governance and operational risk subject matter expert.
Provide supervision and program support on complex corporate governance and operational risk matters.
Lead and participate in strategy development, planning and conducting examinations, preparation of reports and presentation of findings and recommendations.
Identify emerging enterprise governance and operational risk issues through participation in supervision and ongoing awareness of industry trends.
Coordinate with other functional ElCs and other subject matter experts to identify emerging governance and operational risk issues.
May include coverage of other specialty areas (e.g.,BIT, retail credit, complaiance, BSA/AML, mortage banking, and/or other safety and soundness) as appropriate given the needs and functional/organizational structure of the bank team.

This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time.

Complete a one-year trial period (unless already completed).

Travel overnight or locally on a frequent basis.
Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
File an OCC Financial Disclosure Form.
Complete a financial disclosure review and resolve any ethics issues.

You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-V band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

This position is included in the bargaining unit.
One or more positions may be filled in any of the locations specified above. Selections for duty locations posted will be made based on management needs. All locations may not be filled.
Applicants may apply under OCC's Alternative Location Arrangement for long term travel and will be subject to the provisions of the Alternative Location Arrangements PPM 3110-53. The applicant is expected to be onsite at the bank headquarters in a significant amount of work time (up to 50% of the time if the selectee is in an alternative location arrangement). If in an alternative location, the applicant is expected to be at the bank headquarters no later than noon on the first workday, departing no earlier than noon on the last workday and under normal circumstances there should be no travel on Sunday.
