This role is based at YLA's Los Angeles branch in Torrance, CA but candidates who can be based at YLA's South San Francisco, CA branch will also be considered.

The Manager, National Accounts in the International division of Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc. (YLA) is responsible for selling and matching YLA solutions for large national accounts (freight spend > than $10M) within an assigned territory. Key responsibilities include: continuously driving revenue growth, meeting annual revenue and gross margin budgets by successfully growing business, enhancing total gross profit with existing customers and adding new customers to the portfolio.

Responsibilities

New Business development:

  • Accountable for targeting and developing large national accounts within a specified region - establish, build, and develop strong relationships with major regional accounts. Gather detailed information about accounts, identify key decision-makers, understand strategic business challenges and priorities, analyze information and prioritize opportunities critical to the account.

  • Thorough in-depth understanding of the industry and the customer market segment, apply appropriate sales techniques to create new business opportunities, and expand current revenue streams and achieve assigned financial goals for volume, revenue and profit.

  • Develop actionable plans to prepare and present proposals for new business, extensions, enhancements, increasing business within each account and overcome objections to closure.

  • Manage sales leads from international offices. Send sales leads to overseas offices as appropriate.

  • Coordinate with global and domestic teams to develop and present proposals, customer negotiations, coordinate decision-making process, overcome objections to closure and onboard new clients.

Maintain and develop existing accounts:

  • Increase market share within existing customer base.

  • Maintain contact with all clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. Resolve sales or delivery issues.

  • Work with customers on service proposals, rate quotations, air/ocean transportation schedules for new destinations. Manage ad hoc pricing requests.

  • Recommend and offer solutions for customer needs regarding export regulations, methods of loading, crating, handling freight and special equipment availability. Ensure full understanding of such requirements and service offering.

Coordinate and liaise with YLA branch operations and customers:

  • Ensure the highest level of service by collaborating with branch operations in identifying and resolving problems and leveraging industry expertise and account management experience.

  • Work with other employees/department to collect on delinquent accounts.

  • Provide advisory support and assistance to other department members/ manager as needed

  • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.

  • Participate in local business activities and events to gain networking opportunities and to expose the local market to the Yusen brand and value proposition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, Advanced Degree in a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • 7+ years' experience in the international freight forwarding-operational related field is required. Included in this experience is :

  • Minimum five years' experience in direct sales in the International freight forwarding field.

  • Proven track record in preparing & presenting international freight forwarding solutions with minimum support from senior management.

  • Proven track record of selling higher volume air and ocean accounts. Ability to sell complex IFF and supply chain solution products - Air and Ocean, Import and Export, CHB and warehousing services.

  • Position will require 60-70% travel. Occasional off-hour/weekend work may be required.

  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook.

  • Ability to demonstrate a collaborative, decisive, and engaging leadership style.

  • Ability to build strong, trust-based, positive relationships with internal and external constituents.

  • Ability to express ideas verbally and in writing with professionalism.

  • Ability to translate analytical concepts and performance into terms customers can understand.

  • Ability to understand sales budgeting, forecasting and cost and margin objectives.

  • Works with utmost honesty and integrity.

TRAVEL: Position will require 60-70% travel. Occasional off-hour/weekend work may be required

Metabolic acidosis is a chronic condition commonly caused by CKD that is believed to accelerate the progression of CKD, increase the risk of muscle wasting and cause the loss of bone density. Tricida has submitted a New Drug Application seeking approval of veverimer through the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Accelerated Approval Program. SUMMARY: We are currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated, experienced individual for the position of Accounts Payable Manager, reporting to the Controller. The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for leading the Accounts Payable function for Tricida along with system implementations and process improvements. The Accounts Payable Manager will enjoy working in a fast-paced and supportive environment and must effectively multi-task, prioritize work, demonstrate accountability and consistently meet deadlines. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage Accounts Payable team and daily activities to ensure the following tasks are performed accurately and timely: * Processing invoices, which includes obtaining proper approvals and verifying financial account coding * Interacting with vendors to resolve discrepancies and reconciling vendor accounts * Processing expense reports and ensure proper financial coding * Track, reconcile and process corporate credit card expenses/credit card statements monthly with financial coding * Completed month /quarter / year end closing timely and accurately. * AP aging analysis and reconciliation * Ensured daily activities of the Accounts Payabe team are aligned with the Company's accounting policies, procurement policies * Lead the AP automation implementation * Manage vendor master file maintenance and review process * Maintain and manage all accounts payable files * Participate and support the maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley internal control certification requirements * Work with other departments in the organization by applying accounting/finance principles to formulate recommendations to operational issues * Lead the annual 1099 form filings * Other ad hoc duties as assigned EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: * Five to ten years' work experience in A/P function, with at least three years' supervision experience, the succeeding years achieving progressively increased areas of responsibility.; * Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred * AP automation system implementation experience required * Strong experience with NetSuite, or other systems and process roll-out and implementation experience required * Public company experience, the ability to work under SOX control environment * Experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry a plus * Strong communication skills * Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced team environment. * Organized with extensive attention to detail.
