Purpose:

Responsible for the development and expansion of assigned accounts in assigned markets to achieve company objectives. You will need a hunter mindset with the ability to drive organic growth via deep penetration into existing accounts and through the identification, development, and management of new business opportunities. You will be a key player in expanding our Building and Construction market presence by presenting pressure-sensitive tape solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of prospects and customers.

Reporting to the Sales Director for Industrial, Aerospace, Automotive and Building and Construction, you will bring a high sense of ownership to your accounts, to include the management and oversight of new projects, securing forecasts, aligning critical to success factors and being the voice of the customer within Berry.

  • THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION! THE PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL BE LOCATED IN THE EASTERN OR CENTRAL TIMEZONE.

Responsibilities

  • Highly-organized with the ability to manage new customer projects with Berry Product Development team, coordinating efforts between the customer and internal resources.

  • Works with assigned customers to facilitate the day-to-day business including information requests, pricing updates, review of quality complaints/corrective actions, regulatory requests, shipment and delivery timing/improvements, and coordinate information sharing to Berry functional groups.

  • Incumbent understands and recommends product pricing based on product value proposition, market pricing and competition.

  • Meets or exceeds Berry budgeted revenue and profitability for assigned customers.

  • Incumbent is comfortable presenting technical information to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent professional experience plus 8-10 years in the building and construction markets, with a strong preference for experience in pressure-sensitive tapes or building envelope materials such as weather-resistive barriers, air-barriers, roofing underlayment and window and door flashing products.

  • Deep understanding of go-to-market strategies in the building materials industry, to include one-step, two-step and private-label direct to brand owners and OEM's.

  • Experience working in systems (i.e., CRM, ERP, Sales Forecasting, Microsoft Office Suite)

  • Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships while handling multiple projects and priorities.

  • Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills, presentation skills, and follow-up skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization.

  • Has an ownership mindset while establishing and growing customer relationships based on openness, honesty, and trust.
