Overview

TESSCO is currently looking for a National Account Executive to add the the Commerical Sales Team in the Value Added Resller Market. The National Account Executive (NAE) plays a fundamental sales role in achieving ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. The candidate must be driven to develop, new business relationships and strengthen current customer relationships, at high levels within the assigned account portfolio. The NAE must build sales strategies, work with cross functional teams and be able to identify industry trends to maximize business opportunities.

The successful candidate will work out of their home ideally in the Phoenix or Seattle area.

Responsibilities

  • Build the trust and confidence to key customers as an invaluable business partner and problem solver

  • Presenting, promoting, and selling products to existing and prospective customer

  • Manage a portfolio of key customer accounts with a 30 day frequency to further develop business and customer relationships.

  • Develop a strategic account plan to acquire extensive knowledge of key customers' business and challenges

  • Collaborate with other TESSCO teams to provide customer solutions

  • Enhance and develop the consultative relationship with a focus on total addressable opportunities through building relationships at all levels within each account.

  • Maintain a high level of activity

  • Utilize Salesforce.com tools and TESSCO systems to manage, track and develop customers.

  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, yearly revenue and profit targets.

  • Exhibit a thorough knowledge of key account history, culture, identity and goals

  • Demonstrate confidence and accountability for growing new relationships and delivering revenue targets

Qualifications

  • Superior relationship building skills on the phone, virtually and in-person.

  • Articulate, persuasive and influential communicator with high level active listening skills.

  • Strategic account planning and consultative selling competencies.

  • Professional presentation skills and highly developed interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated with proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Bachelor's Degree, or significant relevant experience.

  • MS/MA, a plus

  • 10+ years business-to-business sales experience.

  • Successful track record of managing national accounts (positive revenue and profit)

  • Working knowledge of MS word, excel and power point.

  • Salesforce.com experience a plus.

You will: In this role, you'll join our Small/Medium Business (SMB) Solutions team working from a remote home-based office in the San Francisco/Bay Area and report to the Major Accounts Sales Director. You will be responsible for: * Sold Quota Attainment – Achieve the assigned total sold quota target including quota from mail finishing, solutions and conquest business sold to current PB customers, competitive and non-users. * Channel Partnering – Partner with dedicated tele-sales and retention resources to ensure complete territory and account coverage. Leverage resources to assist in making customer contacts, validating applications, identifying new sales opportunities, conducting DNA and assist with closing business on an as needed basis. Partner with retention resources to assist with "at-risk" customers to resolve issues and assist in retaining customers as needed. * Sales Activity Reporting – Ensure the timely/accurate recording, tracking and reporting of all sales activities and customer/competitive information through ongoing usage of approved sales automation tools – i.e., Salesforce. * Pipeline Management & Forecasting -Provide an accurate forecast of personal sales results. Continuously review all opportunities in the sales pipeline and advance the stage of the sale to provide an accurate record of sales activities and monthly results that roll-up to the sales forecast. * Sales Execution – Based on direction established by customer marketing and the Senior Sales Director (SSD) executes sales contacts based on campaign requirements, sales leads and other national sales execution requirements. * Personal Development & Training – Take personal accountability to complete all assigned training, certification and personal development requirements as required.
