Purpose

The National Account Manager delivers value to Big Box retail customers through developing and delivering strategic growth opportunities for both Roseburg and the identified channel partners. Roseburg's Big Box customers purchase across multiple product lines from RFP and have National representation. Through effective management of these accounts, the National Account Manager develops and expands relationships and delivers on strategic account objectives that align with One Roseburg core values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Advisor

  • Understand and anticipate customer's existing and future needs in depth and communicate them within the team and organization

  • Develop compelling solutions to customer needs that differentiate Roseburg from the competition

  • Engage in both tactical and strategic account planning functions to achieve Roseburg objectives

  • Bring fresh insight to customer's business that will help them deliver a competitive advantage within their market

  • Develop joint strategies that are mutually beneficial to both companies

  • Relationship Manager

  • Build and manage internal & external relationships that foster multiple levels of relationships with key leaders within Roseburg and customer's organizations including having executive level interactions

  • Manage the contact matrix ensuring that all potential points of contact and influence are being attended to appropriately

  • Build trust throughout the customer's organization; influencing up to the executive level in purchasing, sales, admin functions, etc.

  • Brand Manager

  • Represent Roseburg to key Big Box team members

  • Manage expectations about how Roseburg branded products are targeted and used

  • Ensure customer's order process and product selections are aligned with all Roseburg mill capabilities and goals

  • Execute Roseburg marketing strategy in partnership with Marketing team partners

  • Model company core values and culture

  • Embrace the growing role of technology (CRM, virtual constructs, electronic commerce, etc.)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or technical degree

  • Ten (10) plus years sales experience in the construction and/or building materials market segments

  • Track record of growing sales and relationships with Big Box customer(s)

  • Ideal team player (hungry, humble, and smart)

  • Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Understand and exhibit a sense of urgency

  • Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong self-motivation and organizational skills

  • A basic understanding of financial principles

  • An understanding of the Roseburg product portfolio as well as our value over the competition

  • Good understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of our key competitors

  • Proven track record of success; demonstrating proficiency in selling skills, listening, probing techniques, identifying buying signals & negotiating for mutual benefit to Roseburg and the customer

  • Valid driver license with a safe and proven driving record

  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight approximately 40% of the time
