The ideal candidate will be located in the Midwest or East Position Overview: The National Account Manager is a strategic sales leader responsible for managing and expanding a robust portfolio of accounts while driving new business development across Grocery, Club, Mass, Broadline, and Non-Traditional channels.
This role emphasizes bakery product sales, with a primary focus on the in-store bakery segment, leveraging strong relationship-building skills and market insights to deliver exceptional customer value. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in achieving revenue growth, fostering long-term partnerships, and driving presence as a trusted provider of high-quality baked goods. Responsibilities: • Cultivate and retain relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction, loyalty, and continued business growth. • Identify and secure new business opportunities by prospecting for new customers and accounts within assigned channels. • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy that highlights company’s brand, capabilities, and unique value proposition. • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, including production, finance, and management, to ensure customer needs are met efficiently and effectively. • Stay knowledgeable of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities, and communicate relevant insights to buyers and key stakeholders. • Collaborate with and manage broker partners to maximize service quality, drive sales, and achieve growth targets. • Utilize the company CRM system to track and report sales activities, customer interactions, and performance metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability. • Create and deliver compelling presentations, reports, and proposals using Microsoft applications to communicate with customers, internal departments, and broker partners. • Continuously seek opportunities to expand an established and successful customer base, leveraging company’s strong market presence and product portfolio. • Represent company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings, enhancing visibility and building lasting relationships.
