The National Account Manager (Key Accounts) is responsible for creating the growth and retention strategy for existing national accounts and leading a team of sales professionals in the successful execution of that strategy. You'll work cross functionally with operations and marketing, etc. to develop and deploy strategies that encompasses the bigger picture. The right person for this role will have experience selling value added services to national restaurant chains and be able to demonstrate success in setting strategy and leading high performing national account teams.
Location Requirements:Anywhere in the continental US. High travel up to 75% required.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Work closely with VP National Accounts and the sales team on strategy development / execution plans for each brand to attain goals for sales across all products, new product tests and approvals, contract renewals and relationship management.
Work with the AM team to deploy strategies for each brand to achieve growth and retention goals as well as to sell new products and services.
Demonstrate strong leadership and planning skills, with the ability to coach and develop the SE/SR/AM team to sell value and hold them accountable for building and working the sales pipeline to exceed goals.
Travel throughout the US with your team to achieve growth & retention objectives, provide business updates, identify customer needs and build strong relationships with Senior Corporate, Franchisee and Third Party Procurement leaders in each brand
Work closely with RT operations and shared services partners across the company to collectively deliver profitable growth and an outstanding customer experience.
Develop and coach the team to deliver compelling value-based selling presentations and business reviews for large or key groups
Solid understanding of RT sales and fulfillment processes and fluid user of RT systems (CRM, CLM) to submit accurate forecasts and coach and hold the team accountable
Build strong cross functional relationships and trust internally and externally
Consistently achieve quarterly and annual goals for growth and retention to support RTI's growth and goals
Ensure smooth roll-out for customer installs
Accurately forecast new business monthly and quarterly
15+ years with a track record of success in leading & developing teams to sell value added services to senior leaders in national accounts in the food service industry
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, master's degree is a plus
Successful track record of consistently meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual growth and retention goals
Executive presence, top quartile in verbal, mathematical and logical reasoning skills, ability to communicate effectively to all levels in an organization, strong alignment to RT leadership competencies
Excellent organizational planning, communication, and time management skills
Strong business and financial acumen
Strong relationship development and problem solving skills with a solutions based, team oriented mindset
Proven ability to adapt to change, be open to performance feedback, work successfully in a team environment and influence others to execute a brand strategy
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM
Ability to travel nationally, with regular overnight travel up to 75% required, which will include some nights and weekends
