Position Description:

As a National Account Manager you will be responsible for promoting Redwood Multimodals transportation services and bringing on new customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Make sales calls to current and potential customers to promote Redwoods transportation services

  • Generate and organize sales leads. Provide status reports to Sales Management as requested

  • Field calls from current or potential customers for new business opportunities

  • Complete rate proposals

  • Negotiate pricing for transactional sales and request credit approval for new customers in accordance with standard procedures

  • Assist in collection of delinquent accounts

  • Keep informed on industry trends, services, and competitor activities

  • Meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly sales goals

  • Maintain daily customer relationships to assigned accounts, acting as primary contact and re-directing to other departments as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience working in the logistics industry, ideally within a freight brokerage environment

  • Minimum 1 year experience in cold-calling/inside sales role preferred at freight brokerage or similar environment

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and networking skills

  • Ability to drive results within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

In addition, this individual is responsible for generating new business through selling new accounts and expanding business within an existing customer base. Main Responsibilities: * Develop and implement sales plans to achieve sales commitments * Deliver on sales commitments based on Smart Care business plan * Develop sales budgets for assigned customers that identify opportunities both within and outside of Smart Care * Develop and implement a pricing strategy in assigned customers that helps ensure that Smart Care's overall revenue and profit objectives are met * Identify key decision makers in assigned customers and cultivate relationships to ensure customers satisfaction * Assure smooth new customer roll out, implementation and ongoing customer interaction with Corporate Account Customers * Work closely with the field management team on prospects and sales targets * Develop and implement tools to effectively measure customer satisfaction; Develop and implement reporting for customers to effectively measure Smart Care's performance * Provide clear feedback to the VP of Sales on customer, competitor, and market trends Key Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in business-related field or equivalent work experience * 10 years of sales experience with sales management background, ideally in operational services in the food service industry * Proven track record of achieving sales commitments * Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing sales and account management * Proven ability to be part of a business leadership team * Strong interpersonal, communications, and listening skills * Results oriented and entrepreneurial with solid business instincts Smart Care Equipment Solutions is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
