The National Account Manager develops and implements national sales strategies for increasing sales and profits through national customers. This role calls on national accounts at executive level (key decision makers), presents sales material and follows up on sales service to develop new business opportunities. This role represents the residential and light commercial segment of company products while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring customers' needs and expectations are met.
Develops and implements strategic sales plans focused on growing sales.
Documents accounts identifying key stakeholders and outlines successful selling strategies and account management plans.
Identifies new account prospects, "blueprints" new account plans and updates routinely.
Analyzes and reviews sales trends by region and identifies opportunities and threats.
Designs and drives marketing plans directly related to products.
Drives flawless service execution, analyses the current business and implements new strategies.
Develops trusting and productive relationships with clients.
Expands Generac existing business and focus on ways to expand business into new areas.
Navigates the involvement of multiple departments and personnel within the Generac organization and secondary distribution network in order to meet performance objectives and customer's expectations.
Investigates product and service concerns and ensures resolution of customer issues.
Supports new promotional programs.
Creates solution-based sales strategies.
Provides world-class customer support
Conducts sales presentations and provides training on new programs and products.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience with new business development and new product launches
Direct communications experience with the key decision makers
Proven track record of YOY sales growth, sales budget achievement, and customer retention
Strong negotiation and presentation skills with demonstrated problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel); proficiency with Adobe
Proficiency with a CRM
Previous experience preferred with: business continuity; managing regional or national accounts with multiple decision makers responsible for direction of the business
