WHO YOU ARE

The National Account Manager for our MSH sales channel is responsible for day-to-day operations for the Co-Op, Mass Merchant, Retail and/or Farm Agriculture or Farm & Ranch accounts. The National Account Manager, MSH will drive success by ensuring we have the right assortment paired with the most effective use of marketing programs. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the retail industry having worked in a Sales, Account Management, or Business Development role previously.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

Primarily works remote with travel primarily Mid-West to East Coast, traveling approximately 20% of the time but concentrated in the Spring and Fall around show season. Candidates residing in major cities in the Mid-West preferred, including Chicago, Illinois, Dallas, Texas, or Indianapolis, Indiana.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Set and execute strategic goals that help profitably grow the company's market share.

  • Execution of assortment strategy based upon the retail partner's merchandising capabilities.

  • Planning and maintaining planograms that align with retail partner strategies.

  • Build customer relationships across all functional areas at the customer's organization to drive forward initiatives to improve sales and profitability.

  • Focus and manage online initiatives by collaborating with the Retailer's Omnichannel Teams to develop what is needed to drive sustainable ecommerce growth online and ecommerce-influenced growth offline (in stores).

  • Works with demand planning to develop accurate sales forecasts and achieve specified levels of forecast accuracy. Make recommendations utilizing rate of sale and retailer promotional parameters.

  • Managing efficiencies and maximizing space constraints through strategic in-store and on-line POS analysis and business analytics

  • Manage, coordinate and attend the Co-Op Market Shows throughout the year.

  • Prepare special and regular sales report for Manager and others.

  • Be an integral part of the sales team by:

  • identifying potential areas for business growth

  • assisting in developing growth plans and product line reviews

  • providing feedback to the company from the on-going surveillance of the competition

  • interfacing with all functional areas within the company and the customer

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 4 Year College education preferably in a related field of study such as Marketing, Business or Sales

  • Minimum 4 years of previous experience as a National Account Manager, or in a merchandising or marketing role within a Consumer-Packaged Goods organization.

  • Must be proactive and results-oriented with strong organization, negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills is mandatory.

  • Excellent understanding of analytical sales data and how to use this information to build business relationships and programs.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships quickly.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and demands in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment.

  • Willingness and ability to travel.

Assure quality standards are met for

  • POP and Literature compliance for stores and trade shows.

  • Planogram integrity.

  • Cross merchandising and off shelf promotional activity.

  • Develops annual business plans.

  • Works with Channel Manager as a liaison between Product Managers and Sales.

  • Determines need for and manages research projects.
