Position Summary

The National Account Manager, Amazon- Auto Care, develops programs, relationships, and processes that drive sales, share, and margin for pure play eCommerce customers, with a primary focus on Amazon North America ( and This position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and requires a self-starter who enjoys the daily challenge of continuously earning category leadership.


Develop Amazon category-specific customer strategy and business objectives; manage P&L and KPI achievement

  • Serve as the customer's primary point of contact for the category and develop relationships at every level

  • Develop and execute annual business plans that efficiently achieve customer & Energizer goals / objectives

  • Manage monthly reporting and recommendations to deliver expected sales and GM plan

  • Acquire an understanding of key customer needs for the category and build competencies in requirements to win (e.g., no stock out guarantee)

Define and drive Amazon customer category-specific business objectives

  • Develop Amazon-specific category business plans, strategies, and goals; identify growth opportunities based on an understanding of the Amazon platform

  • Build a partnership with category Vendor Managers and attend key meetings as an Amazon and Energizer expert

  • Design and deploy best practices for Auto Care regarding Merchandising, Promotions, and Test & Learns, optimizing with a "Plan, Do, Check, Act" process

  • Collaborate with Digital Media and Content Lead on customer-specific digital media creative / copy

  • Ensure product keyword listings, product page content, etc. are optimized for search rankings

  • Collaborate with Shopper / Brand Activation team to align online and in-store promotion activity

  • Manage Customer category P&L and progress toward KPIs

Execute across the value chain to deliver customer strategy and achieve objectives

  • Foster strong relationships with customer buying teams and key internal support teams

  • Manage eCommerce assortment and pricing; communicate regularly with Commercial teams to manage channel conflict / ensure alignment across the channel

  • Collaborate with Digital Media lead to execute placement and visibility strategies

  • Own customer support for the category, including logistics, order processing and fulfillment; coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain colleagues to forecast demand and ensure ability to fulfill obligations

  • Manage all customer contracts, trade fund management and promotion ROI analysis

  • Communicate marketplace and competitive knowledge regularly with COE stakeholders to recommend tactic adjustments and share learnings

  • Build Amazon Customer Team alignment and buy-in to support alignment with functional areas in the broader organization (e.g. Category Leaders, Commercial Stakeholders, and Marketing Stakeholders)

  • Grow Amazon Share and Margin for the category while minimizing channel conflict

  • May perform other duties as assigned

Specific Accountabilities

  • Develop annual eCommerce category business plans and targets; secure Customer Team alignment and support

  • Achieve category-specific KPI targets as agreed upon by Sr. National Account Manager, eCommerce

  • Utilize Amazon Retail Analytics and One Click Retail to manage platform performance, including paid and organic search ranking, retail price movements, and competitive dynamics

  • Manage item catalog, including item level management, new item setup, product detail page optimization

  • Negotiate annual customer terms

  • Manage travel and expense budget

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree

  • 3-5 years related work experience

  • sales and marketing experience demonstrated track record of being an "Amazon Hacker"

  • Ability to understand Customer P&L / business levers, manage trade funds, and drive toward KPIs

  • Ability to make fast decisions and operate in a test-and-learn environment

  • Ability to balance Customer, Consumer, and Shareholder perspectives at the same time

  • Positive attitude and ability to be coached

  • Ability to intelligently challenge convention, influence decisions, and drive change

  • Ability to take initiative and self-direct

  • Significant sales experience

  • Ability to make fast decisions and operate in a test and learn environment

  • Ability to manage budgets and drive toward KPIs

  • Ability to take initiative and identify issues

  • Ability to travel 15% of the time to customer meetings and industry events (if based in St Louis, if based outside St Louis expect 30% travel)
