Powertrain Calibration-Diesel Aftertreatment and Diagnostic Powertrain Calibration
Evaluate and assess vehicle attributes (performance, fuel economy, emissions, NVH) on vehicles and in engine dynamometer test cells
Modify vehicle and powertrain control calibrations to improve fuel economy, performance, emissions, and diagnostics
Conduct vehicle testing and development at remote locations in Arizona, Colorado, and Northern Canada
Design and conduct tests to validate engine and vehicle fuel economy, performance, emissions, and diagnostics
Calibration and development of leading edge aftertreatment technologies for PM, NOx, HC, and CO reduction for diesel powertrains
MS in Engineering or Computer Science
3+ years of professional internal combustion Engine Calibration or Controls (software) Experience
1 year of Experience with Calibration Tools including ETAS and/or ATI, and Matlab
1 year Mathworks Matlab experience for analyzing engineering datasets
Engineers must have strong fundamental capabilities in engine and vehicle operation. (Direct diesel experience is not required).
Understanding of Emission Regulatory Requirements Worldwide
Strong statistical knowledge (Six sigma training desirable)
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
