Responsibilities:

  • Powertrain Calibration-Diesel Aftertreatment and Diagnostic Powertrain Calibration

  • Evaluate and assess vehicle attributes (performance, fuel economy, emissions, NVH) on vehicles and in engine dynamometer test cells

  • Modify vehicle and powertrain control calibrations to improve fuel economy, performance, emissions, and diagnostics

  • Conduct vehicle testing and development at remote locations in Arizona, Colorado, and Northern Canada

  • Design and conduct tests to validate engine and vehicle fuel economy, performance, emissions, and diagnostics

  • Calibration and development of leading edge aftertreatment technologies for PM, NOx, HC, and CO reduction for diesel powertrains

Basic Qualifications:

  • MS in Engineering or Computer Science

  • 3+ years of professional internal combustion Engine Calibration or Controls (software) Experience

  • 1 year of Experience with Calibration Tools including ETAS and/or ATI, and Matlab

  • 1 year Mathworks Matlab experience for analyzing engineering datasets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineers must have strong fundamental capabilities in engine and vehicle operation. (Direct diesel experience is not required).

  • Understanding of Emission Regulatory Requirements Worldwide

  • Strong statistical knowledge (Six sigma training desirable)

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
