As a Cocktail Server, a typical day might include the following:
As guests are arriving in our venues you are greeting them with a welcoming smile and are able to provide them with fast, friendly beverage service
Accurately taking the guests food and drink order, communicating this to the bartender and assisting with preparation of drinks before presenting to guests
Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervene when needed according to all necessary guidelines
Promoting Big Night Entertainment Group Restaurants and Venues in a positive and professional manner
Working well with others as you will be working with other cocktail servers, bartenders, bar backs, and management
Remembering guest's names and utilize them when appropriate
Building guest loyalty
Resolving service problems with empathy and according to guidelines
Maintaining a clean and stocked work area
Other duties to be assigned
This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:
Minimum 2 years cocktail serving experience in a high-volume, upscale food and beverage and/or club environment required
Must have evening and full weekend availability
TIPS or other recognized Alcohol Certification a plus and will be required if chosen for the position
Must be able to pass Big Night Entertainment Group's requirements in regards to legal background check
Must have the ability to complete the process for the Massachusetts State Gaming Commission license prior to starting
You present a neat and professional appearance
You are able to communicate effectively and accurately with customers, the public and co-workers
You are able to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members
You are able to accurately count money and provide necessary change
You have flexibility with schedule which includes nights, weekends and holidays
You are able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
You are able to lift up to 30 lbs
