Job Summary/Basic Functions

Federal Work Study ONLY

Student Worker opportunity for the Musical Theatre Department. Positions include work in scene shop, costume shop, and/or office.

Scene shop positions must be able to lift and move set pieces and will include working with standard stop tools and paint. Costume shop positions will include working with sewing, fabric, and other crafting materials. Office work positions will include copy/printing and miscellaneous jobs as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at EKU.

• Must be eligible for Federal Work Study.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working backstage in theatrical productions, experience in scene/costume shop work

Job Duties:

• Scene Shop: Work alongside technical director building set pieces, painting, moving set for current production. Often contains lifting, painting, moving, and work with general shop tools.

• Costume Shop: Work alongside costume shop supervisor and designer to organize shop, inventory, and assist in construction for current production.

• Office: Work alongside production manager in an office setting. May include copying and printing, assisting in public relations, and other odd jobs for current production.
