Scope of Position & Technical Competency:
Responsible for facilitating level of care assessments, individual sessions, couples/family sessions, residential and partial hospitalization program groups as determined by and according to program standards within the primary scope of Music Therapy, though not limited to solely the Music Therapy discipline if needed.
Prepares materials and curriculum for facilitating sessions and or groups
Maintains client files according to program standards through utilization of program electronic client record
Initiates and develops treatment planning goals through contact with clients, family, colleagues and other staff and updates plan as required within expected timelines
Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and family members
Communicates with referral sources, external medical and behavioral providers, client support system, and company representatives
Attends and facilitate team meetings regarding client's progress, updates, needs
Develop and conduct staff trainings
Scheduled for up to 20 hours per week as needed by the program
Attends trainings, staff meetings and supervision as needed and according to program standards, with no less than half of licensure required hours specific to Eating Disorders
Maintains safe, orderly and therapeutic physical environment for clients including crisis intervention
Maintains ethical boundaries with clients and engages clients and support network in respectable and professional manner
Ability to support other programming in office as needed and as appropriate
Other duties as assigned
Utilize art therapy to assist clients in their recovery goals
Demonstrates an understanding of Eating Disorders, addiction, mental health and complex conditions
Application to practice
Assessment; initial and ongoing with referrals made as needed
Treatment planning and continuing updates
Professional and respectful interaction with clients, family, supports and referral sources
Professional readiness and ethical responsibility
Maintenance of supply inventory
Eating Disorder population specific competency
A working knowledge of HIPAA, Licensing, OMHSAS, DHS, and CARF regulations
