The award-winning Vista High School Band and Pageantry program is seeking an experienced Band Director to join the Vista High School faculty. Following years of successful performance and competition, the Vista Unified School District takes great pride in this program and our student performers.

The program will have an all-new facility, with a remodeled classroom, total field replacement, new instruments, recently purchased uniforms, and support for hiring additional staff. We are seeking a band director with a vision for current music performance practices, high level of musical skill, and an inclusive view of music education for all. The band director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of band activities at the comprehensive high school level.

They will provide instruction and coordinate all school marching band, concert band, drumline and pageantry/winter guard activities. They will arrange for facilities for practices and necessary transportation to and from festivals, appearances, and competitions. The director will promote and conduct a summer band camp.

The director will be responsible for all band students' conduct when representing the Vista Unified School District, i.e., practices, performances, hotels, transportation. They will work closely to develop relationships with students, parents and band boosters to create an environment that promotes success and growth within the band program. Must attend all practices, performances, festivals, competitions.
