Certified Choral Director for Grades 6th – 12th, 1 FTE (full-time)

Livingston School District is seeking a choral music educator for 6-12th grades starting next Fall in the 24-25 school year.

The position encompasses 7th and 8th grade choirs and beginning/concert choir, advanced/chamber choir and a select 12-16 voice ensemble which sings a variety of pop-acapella, jazz and classical music.

The Livingston school district is progressive and proactive in classroom teaching and values arts education.  Our community embraces the arts in a way that is very rare.  The right candidate will be embraced by not only a great administration and teaching staff but by parents and our local businesses, residents and arts organizations.

There are opportunities for our music educators to perform in a wide variety of genres and venues not only in Livingston but in nearby Bozeman.  From Opera to Broadway, Community Choirs and upscale music venues, you will have the opportunity to spread your wings as a musician while teaching here.

Qualifications:

• Appropriate degrees in music education.

• Montana OPI Licensure or the ability to be licensed.

• Significant high school and middle school choral music experience.

• Ability to teach and appreciation for a wide variety of choral music from classical to the latest pop acapella styles.  

• A desire to bring out the best in our communities young musicians.
