Music Instructor Pool - Adjunct/PT

Louisiana Christian University is seeking qualified applicants to build a pool of part-time adjunct music instructors. Positions will be offered as needed depending on departmental needs. Potential openings include: (a) private instruction in at least one orchestral or band instrument and (b) courses in music ministry/worship arts.

REQUIREMENTS: Qualified candidates will hold at least a master's degree with a concentration in music performance, music education, music ministry, or comparable field. Preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate an ability to teach students who possess a broad range of musical abilities and backgrounds.

LCU is a NASM-accredited institution that offers a variety of academic programs, including a B.A. in Music, B.A. in Worship Leadership, and a B.M. in Vocal or Instrumental Music Education. Additionally, the department coordinates with other programs to offer a B.A. in Musical Theater and a music minor. Student offerings include instrumental and choral ensembles, opera and musical theater productions, and music ministry and technology opportunities.

Louisiana Christian University is a private, coeducational institution accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It offers numerous bachelor's and master's degree programs to approximately 1,100 students. Founded in 1906, it is governed by a Board of Trustees and affiliated with the Louisiana Baptist Convention.
